the fact women are viewed as being more sexy at 15 than 40 is the creepiest thing in the world

when i was 12 years old my health teacher told us all that he thought girls were the most beautiful at age 14-15 and we would never be that beautiful again for the rest of our lives
back then it scared me that i wouldnt stay pretty
once i got older it scared me that he found no shame in saying that, and neither do countless other men

Damn son our uterus stretches like 5x the size and then contracts and pushes a 7 pound baby out of a small tube into life if you think that isn’t metal as fuck get out of my face

YOUR ORGANS THOUGH IM SO SORRY LADIES

How the hell do woman survive this?

Seriously it surprises me how many people don’t know a couple things about pregnancy and babies:
women would not survive 10 months of pregnancy they would die
A baby is nowhere near as developed as it should be to be out in the world at 9 months, but the human body has not evolved to push anything past the size of the head out, everything else the baby is can stretch and squash but the head
the vagina can’t handle anything bigger than the head at 9 months of development so we have to give birth.
But babies actually need longer than that, really, it’s why they’re such a mess when they’re born and why they’re completely dependent on care, can’t walk, can’t do anything.  Note most other animals can when they are born.  Babies are born too early, it’s kind of a huge and secret flaw in human evolution.  I found it really interesting, so thought I’d share.

Anonymous said: Please help me. My best friend is gay and sees herself as a male. I have absolutely no problem and support her, but her father DISAPPROVES greatly. Because of this, he treats her as if she doesn't exist, like he disowned her. She is depressed and I honestly do not know what to do. She has resorted to self harm and multiple suicide attempts. Her father neglects her, and her mother passed away from cancer. She is 17. I really don't know what to do. Please I need some sort of advice.

pkrockn:

The first thing you should do is refer to them as he if thats how they see themselves/identify as. What you need to do as a friend is offer everything you possibly can to them, treat them with kindness and try not to worry too much. (I know its hard but im speaking from experience, my mom kicked me out when i was that age struggling with similar problems) its going to be difficult to understand at first but theyre hurting a lot. If your friends father continues to treat him this way please contact someone, he needs to be somewhere safe. Self harm can be a hard thing to deal with even if you arent the one doing it, just reassure your friend that things WILL get better because they do. (Im horrible with advice i apologize) The main thing is to try and stay calm for your friend, use their preferred pronouns and just be as supportive as possible. (Again sorry im not the best at giving advice???)

"I can remember when I was a little boy. My grandmother and I could hold conversations entirely without ever opening our mouths. She called it "shining." And for a long time, I thought it was just the two of us that had the shine to us. Just like you probably thought you was the only one."
